Happiness is surviving the drive up narrow graveled mining roads, waiting in a long line to reach this familiar cook shack and watching your hearty breakfast cooked right before your eyes. Mmmmmm good!
A Bohemia Mining Days tradition since 1964, Breakfast on the Mountain is sponsored by the Prospectors and Golddiggers Booster Club.
Located in Bohemia Saddle Park, 35 miles southeast of Cottage Grove, in the Umpqua National Forest. Club members camp out and set up a cook shack and rows of covered tables to resemble a 19th century mining camp. P&G members dressed in period costumes serve all comers all morning long.
You’ll want to bring your camera along on this scenic Sunday drive through the Historic Bohemia Mining District with breathtakingly beautiful views of the Oregon Cascades.
Nearly 1,000 guests are expected each year, for safety sake, please print out the map below and follow the driving directions.
Menu: ham, eggs, all-you-can-eat pancakes, juice and coffee.
Costs: Adults $6 & Kids [10 and under] $4.
