Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to BohemiaMiningDays.org and the 51st Annual Bohemia Mining Days Festival. The admission-free event is held in Cottage Grove, Oregon, every July to celebrate our community’s colorful history. This year’s theme is “Ghosts of Gold” and honors the memory of Henry K. Isaacs, who served as the Marshal of Bohemia City for 48 of those years.

Schedule Info:  This year’s festival will once again transform Cottage Grove’s Coiner Park into “Bohemia City” for four days filled with fun, food, contests and entertainment. You’ll find a complete schedule of events at the top of each page under “Schedule.”

Wanna help out? Bohemia Mining Days is organized on a year-round basis by a board of community-minded volunteers who work closely with the Festival Coordinator throughout the year to ensure this annual summer tradition lives on for future generations to enjoy. Learn more about these folks here. The Board and Festival Coordinator encourage individuals, businesses and organizations to assist them in planning and hosting all the unique and favorite activities which make up our four-day festival each July. For more information on how you can help call the BMD Office at 541.942.5064.

Lots to see and do: Returning favorites this year include three parades: The Bloomer Parade, The Kiddie Parade and The Grand Miners’ Parade. Three fund-raising meals in Coiner Park: Victorian High Tea, Miner’s Steak Dinner, and Sunday’s Chuckwagon Breakfast. Lots of contests including: costumes, cherry pit-spitting, Golden Pie Bake-off, Cottage Grove’s Got Talent Semi-finals and the Mayor’s Whistling and Yodeling. The festival returns to Coiner Park this year with a wide variety booths offering food, beverages, entertainment, unique gifts and services and community information.

Y’all come!
