Cottage Theatre
PLAY WITH A PURPOSE
This family-friendly youth production is the culmination of a summer theatre camp and will feature young actors ages 8 to 14 in all roles.
Come boo, hiss and cheer as the villain and heroes try to outwit each other in this melodrama penned by local playwright K.K. Mills. Treat yourself, your family and your special friends to some old-fashioned fun as Cottage Theatre presents the world premiere of “There’s a Rip in the Big Top . . . or The Villains Were Grabbed By the Juggler”
PLOT
This year’s conniving begins when the Flying Pilatés Circus rolls into the little town of Lemati, in Delightful Valley, Oregon. Lemati’s villainous Mayor Baton Rouge and his crafty wife Moulin want to steal the “Treasure of the Ghosts of Gold” and pin it on “those lowlife circus people.” Helped by Baton’s long-lost nephew René “Rip” Ringling and his two henchmen Claude and Durt Banks, they plan on stealing the treasure right from the middle of the Big Top where Baton wants to put it on display for the Big Show. Will our heroine, Piccolo Pilaté, and our hero, Bobbles Heade the Juggler, be able to save the day and the Circus?
