Bohemia Mining Days draws thousands to “Bohemia City” in Coiner Park for four days of fun, frolic and fraternizin' in a neighborly way each summer. If you'd like to have your business or organization be seen by all these folks, or if perhaps you'd like to just throw us a few bucks to help out, then we've got some options for you!
Planning for the 58th annual Bohemia Mining Days celebration is well underway and we are looking forward to another exciting event. This year we will be bringing to life our local heritage through living history demonstrations, panning with real miners for real gold, historical talks in the evening on our Main Stage, and an antique engine display.
The BMD Historical Treasure Hunt sponsored by the Cottage Grove Economic and Business Improvement District (EBID) returns for its second year on Friday and Saturday. A very cool "time-traveling train" transports our historical treasure hunters seeking cold hard cash prizes to follow a treasure map that leads them to local museums, historical attractions and to businesses in our Historic Downtown District.
There will also be music, three parades, games, contests, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on our community’s generosity and support. We are committed to ensuring that Bohemia Mining Days remains a free and fun-filled community event. Our all-volunteer board of directors and part-time festival coordinator work year-round to produce Cottage Grove’s largest event, which represents our shared heritage, culture, and natural surroundings. Most importantly we want to provide four fun-filled days where families and friends connect with each other to make lasting memories.
Mark your calendar for the 58th annual Bohemia Mining Days, July 13-16, 2017.
